Project Description

Dragflow has recently provided a hydraulic pump HY180HC complete with cutterhead that will be used at the Stombi Canal, near the Sibari Lakes (Italy).

The problem

The only access door to an important Nautical Center was compromised by sedimentation of sandy materials, making boat entry and exit problematic.
The problem of channel and port accessibility is widespread in tourist and commercial facilities. Wave motion and currents can contribute, over time, to making the channels impracticable by requiring constant maintenance.

Our solution

There are several ways to remove excess sediments. In this case, the buyer's request was to limit spending and get an easy-to-use solution with low assembly and maintenance costs.
We therefore proposed to provide versatile equipment that could be mounted on the excavator arm, on a crane or on a boat.

The draining pump installation will allow local administration and Reclamation Consortium to safeguard the channel's navigability.

Dragflow is able to propose several solutions in response to similar problems: for example, it has delivered remote control dredges for continuous maintenance  or battery pumps for the realization of a fixed sand bypass
