DRAGFLOW was contacted for a dredging operation to be carried out at the waste collection basins of the oil refining process.

Two main critical points of this work:

• The material to be removed from the collection basins was very heavy; the bitumen present in the mixture tends to attack the pump seals making it impossible to operate with traditional pumps
• Need to dredge up to 20m deep

We have supplied Dragflow DRH400 dredgers that can work without problems at a depth of 20m, easy to install and move during the months of plant downtime.

The dredgers are equipped with HY400 hydraulic pumps with a sealing system designed specifically for the project in order to extend the useful life of the pumping system. The ideal solution for flushing out the basins of the oil refining plant!
