HARBOR DREDGING WITH DRAGFLOW PUMPS
2014 CHILE
Project description
Dragflow pumps were the protagonists of two harbor dredging operations.
The first: dredging the container loading / unloading area in the port of Valparaiso, the largest freight terminal in Chile.
In the port of Valpariaso a set of EL60B electric pumps were supplied which, working in series and equipped with a powerful system of high pressure jets, allowed the rapid removal of one of the most critical areas for the operation of the port.
The second: dredging a canal to create an area with a higher draft that allows ships to pass through
On the south coast an upgrade of the existing dredger was performed, reusing part of the pre-existing hydraulic circuit to control a HY85 hydraulic pump with EXHY20 side cutters.
