DRAGFLOW brings its know-how to the Italian National Committee for Large Dams

Dragflow was admitted among the collective members of ITCOLD, the Italian National Committee for Large Dams.

The Association aims to study all the problems associated with dams, their implementation and their exercise. ITCOLD is also part of the International Commission for Large Dams (ICOLD-CIBG), an organization created in Paris in 1928.

We are proud to be part of this association, which has been dealing with issues related to hydroelectric plants for years. The study of dams is also strategic in several respects. Careful and sustainable management of these structures can in fact contribute to facing the great challenges of the present, from the management of increasingly scarce water resources, to the generation of renewable energy, to the protection of the territory from increasingly frequent floods and intense. Italy has a great tradition in the field of dams, and there are many plants designed and built by Italians all over the world, so our country can make its experience available to boost research on a global scale. For our part, we will be pleased to share the company know-how gained over the years in the field of sediment removal from dams, where DRAGFLOW is able to provide 360-degree specialist solutions and consultancy “commented Eng. Francesco Galante, who will represent DRAGFLOW at the Association.

The correct maintenance and management of these structures is a matter of efficiency, safety and duration. In fact, there is a risk that many reservoirs will lose their capacity and that precious structures will degrade because they are not adequately conserved, becoming no longer usable, and effectively preventing the transfer of this wealth to future generations. Our technology and our solutions, tested all over the world, can certainly make a great contribution to the sustainable management of dams. ”
